The purpose of this program is to discuss the benefits of continuous surveillance monitoring in the acute care setting. Emphasis is on understanding how surveillance monitoring enhances the early detection of patient deterioration and improves patient safety. A variety of case studies will be presented to enhance your understanding of potential adverse events and how to avoid them. This course is approved for 1 contact hour of continuing education and nursing by the State Board of Nursing California, Number CEP16410.
